can i boost more?

i have a stock ty and it see about 9-10 psi. i want to put a few turns on the wastegate rod to boost about 15psi. i would idmagine this would be ok since its not really too much more boost. what do you guys think?

9-10 is base boost of the actuator. Is your boost solenoid connected or bypassed?

also where are you getting the boost numbers from?

boost solenoid is connected. my autometer guage, but im not sure where its connected, cause i didnt install it, i swapped my carbon fiber ones instead of the prolites

do you have a scan tool to measure if you have knock? boost will be limited if youre getting some. i would double check your boost solenoid and its wire connections. was it boosting properly before swapping the gauges? if so, check the connection to the gauge.

the guage is very consistent, it allways see 9-10ish lbs. both guages were dead on. i think im going to do 2 turns on the wastegate rod.

stock boost is 14.5lbs and base boost like mentioned already is 10lbs I believe.. I don't see why your not running the 14lbs already unless you have some issues? Make sure you don't have any vacuum leaks and check to make sure your vac lines are setup right on the wastegate and solenoid

I agree... check it out first to be sure everything is connected corectly.
Then check to see if you have knock issues... You should see 14-15 lbs if everyting is working properly.
If all that fails, go for it but keep a close eye on things.
