cant find my vin please help

it was a stolen and recovered truck so it was re vined in new york can you help me find out where else i can look so i can see what i got thanks

only places I know of are the label in the glovebox (which I'm sure yours is gone), and the VIN tag on the dash.

Those are the only places I can think of as well. Unless you can locate your build sheet (if they do that anymore). Sometimes they're stuffed under the headliner or carpet. Mine was under the headliner in my El Camino, I'm not even sure if they were put in Typhoons. Someone will chime in

I'm not sure about a Ty, but on a Sy, the last 6 digits of the VIN are stamped into the top of the frame, on the RR corner, right above the axle.

its on the frame and one other place but well keep that location quiet

Is the original engine block in the truck. The last digits are located there also.

i know this is an old post but from my understanding there's a vin on the frame and a s15 stamp somewhere where i don't think anyone found yet

Supposedly 93 is on top of the frame by the fuel filter and 92 towards the right rear

I'm pretty sure the OP from 3 years ago was referring to the Ty you're currently parting out.

I thought it was ironic too!! :rotf: What are the odds of two Ty's getting re-vinned through the state of NY recently. I thought maybe it was like a NJ thing up in NY

I thought it was ironic too. Not really that unlikely for a few of these to get re-vin in ny. I think there was one in central pa last year that was a ny re-vin also.
