Coil over spring compression question....

Im installing 700lbs rated springs in the front for the typhoon.
The springs are 9" long relaxed. How much needs collapsing (preload) to perform correctly.
RPMs instruction did mention anything about this important detail.
I would guess at least an inch.(down to 8").

You just adjust them to get desired ride height. 700lb springs might be really stiff.

Unless they are variable rate aren't springs rated by the inch? IE 700# will compress it 1" 1400# 2" and so-on.
