copying some more

I was wondering if I could get some pics of some syclone engine compartments. I am just looking for placement of parts to do a "S" to syclone conversion. I have already heard the horror stories but I am going all the way with it. I already have most of the parts. Just need the engine. Oh yeah what kind of headers do you recommend. Thanks for all your help with the copying project.

well you dont need headers.
turbotony ran 10.71 in his sy with stock manifolds...
headers are a waste of money.
your best bet is to not bother with a stock motor and go straight to mccoy or mike lee and get one of theirs.
spend the extra cash and do it right.
the intakes you dont need.
pte has a good intake that will give you the tb in the front, ready for an air to air setup. dont even bother with the stock water to air. it is a PITA.
simplicity, clear up a lot of clutter.
good luck.

I planned on getting a McCoy engine. Well thanx again for all your help here. I still want one of the real things though. I just haven't had the money at the right time. Well thanks anyway.

isnt that intake from pte only for gn's?

I agree, I don't think PTE make an intake for SyTy's. They just make them for the GN's. Wish they did make a SyTy plentum and intake. :D

IMO by the amount of time and money it would take to complete a Sy conversion you would be better off just waiting till funds are available and buy the real thing. You could probably find a Sy for under 10 grand. That way you have everything you need all in one package. Not one piece here one piece there. I do realize where you are coming from. I was 19 when these trucks came out and wanted one soooooo bad but funding was just not possible at the time. I waited 4 years, finally bought one and it's still still in the garage ready to go whenever I am.

Browse through the different online galleries for engine bay pics:

I know there are more...like Hyrude has started one...

We've heard about this kind of commitment before...not just from you...but from hundreds of people just like you before. It gets tiring from our perspective sometimes. There's a Bravada that's been converted...a Sonoma up in Canada and McCoy's SS...but I don't know of many more.
