Custom downpipes for 2WD trucks?

This is a major long shot, but I figured I would go ahead and ask.
Does anyone make/sell downpipes designed for use with 2WDs?

I have a '99 2WD 4.3 and it sure would be nice to have a downpipe
that I can just bolt-on and go. I had one custom made by a buddy
but it's not quite right. Trying to see if there's one I can buy instead
of bothering him to help me with another one.

is there really that much difference between the two chassis'. i would think they would fit both styles of suspension.

Won't a 4wd one work? If you have A/C I doubt there is one that will fit your 99. I made my own and it wasn't that hard. I went from a single piece to a 2-piece downpipe (w/ ball and socket flange) for ease of bolting up and removing. Just get your buddy to make a new one or go to a shop.

Here's a pic of mine when I first made it two years ago (one-piece). Pretty simple really.

I have never seen the front suspension on a 4WD,
but the stock downpipe definitely was not going to
get past my 2WD upper control arm.

Won't a 4wd one work? If you have A/C I doubt there is one that will fit your 99.

The stock SyTy downpipe hits the upper control arm.
Yes my '99 has A/C and that does add to the trouble
as it has to clear both.

I suppose I will buy some beer and invite my buddy
back again. Is there a good place online to buy the
stainless tubing, or is there a local establishment that
I need to find? Is the turbo flange available so I don't
need to tear up my existing pipe to make a new one?

i bought a really awsome half DP with two bungs, and unshrouded wategate puck from a bd member......it didn't fit. i bought it totaly on a chance. no worries. ill mod it to work. my truck is a 2wd 95 s10. im working out those bugs now.

I think RPM sells some turbo/dp flanges.
