Damn California DMV!!!

Well after 4 monhs i get a check in the mail for a $40 refund. I was like wtf is this for and then it got me thinking, maybe they didnt like my recenty personel plate request. My thoughts were confirmed today. I got a leter stating that my request of SYCO 6 were "too offensive and could possibly give my felow drivers a wrong message". Now I have to think about another plate that wont offend or piss of these Ca. homo's.
I think i am going to shoot for BSTD 6, BSTD SY, or SLOW SY. Or for a funny one just POO or POOP, hahaha. What do you guys think, let me know. See ya, Paul Z.

I hear you bro, literally same thinig just happend to me a week ago too. They didn't like my request for "MOMILES" on my hybrid. WhyTF not! Consider yourself lucky, at least you got your money back...still waiting on mine.

Please, try to stay on topic.

Must be hard to get a good plate in CA, with all of the cars registered there. We still have a pretty good selection of available plates here in AK. Even some obviously offensive ones get through here.

are you guys trying to order these plates online?

try going down to the DMV in person, usually they'll ask you what the definition means and you can probably explain it better in person... plus its easier for some tub of shit that works for the DMV to deny your plate request by clicking a button... If you're standing right there in person, they're less likely to be an asshole to your face, especially if you demand a reason as to why its getting denied.

'MOMILES' getting denied is about the dumbest thing i've ever heard... someone had to have had that plate already.

just for future reference... there is no difference between 0 and O on license plates.


...and judging from this thread, sounds like i'm not gonna be able to get 'EFFNPOS' for my ty. :roll:

Sup Neal, long time no see. The local DMV does not have any power here. It is all decided by a panel of people in the Sacramento DMV headquarters. I went to the Torrance DMV and they asked for a meaning on the request form. I stated that the definition of SYCO 6 was SYCLONE 6 and they denied it. See ya, Paul Z.
