Distributor question re-post

Sorry, I got a topic reply notification, but it seems my post has disappeared.

If you responded to my request for distributor R&R info (upper intake removal needed? Parts/supplies to have on hand?
Step-by-step? Hints?) please do so again. Thanks.

I know the basics of 4.3 distribotor R&R and rebuild, just need the SyTy specifics. Thanks!!

ok, i will do it again.

Steps 1) remove wires, cap, rotor. 2) take the coil off for more room. 3) remove the two bolts that hold the wire cases to the firewall, just to the pas. side of the distributor. 4) mark the distributor and block, so when you pull it you know where it goes back in. 5) pull it out, wiggle it a little, and it sould come out.

Should be all you have to do, dont worry about pulling the upper intake, and you may have to take the vac. lines off the back of it.
