I know there are some fans of this car on this site, so I'm pasting this from a Dennis Kirban post. Seems high-end...but anyway....

CAR FOR SALE - 1986 Shelby Dodge Omni Glhs - CFS036

1986 Shelby Dodge Omni Glhs - number 382 of 500
Good body, no rust or dings
Good paint, door panels, dash, seats, carpet
Runs and drives
New turbo, 3 inch exhaust, larger injectors, adjustable fuel regulator, Shelby wheels.

I have had the car for 8 years and have not driven the car much or hard.
I am disabled and have a hard time with a manual.
I had a Grand National that I drove most of the time and a GNX that Dennis Kirban helped me sell that I was driving.

All this car needs is a good proper tune
My friend Terry has it at his shop and can answer any questions.

This is a fun machine for a very reasonable price.

$8,000
For more information, contact Terry - 678-725-2531

These shitboxes were one of the only things in the 80's that were cheap and would fly. They helped renew my faith in going fast.

When I was like 12-14 a ****ing Corvette had like what,160-180 HP? These rockets came out running 14 flat for cheap and that was ****ing insane!

When I was a kid(75-83)my Dad had all of the Motor's Auto Repair manuals from the late 60's/early 70's (he still does actually,in the library that was my old room.We built a wall to wall bookcase in there that has at least a thousand hardcover books)
I poured over these books. Engines were making 400+hp all day long, but in 1980 a Corvette had like 150 or something and ran 16 second 1/4. Think about it for a second,a stupid FWD Omni would put buslengths on a Vette.

Jimmy, what do you mean when, I thought were are still 12 - 14
I'm gonna have to go with 21-24. :)

Re: Dodge Omni GLH

For me, GLHS's are more for collectors. I like the GHL-T's cause I don't feel bad modifying them. And they cost way less than $8k...
