We have a shop in town that has a four wheel drive dyno.
I told him I wanted him to dyno my AWD Syclone (he is not familiar with the truck).
He said that he couldn't test it if was equipped with active tranny lock up ?
Please advise.
Thanks

Re: Dyno Testing

Dont know what active tranny lock up is. But it sounds like what the explorers and some other vehicles have where is engages and disengages 4wd as you need it (really annoying when its on a lift and you are trying to listen for noises). Ours arent like that, its constant 65/35 split. Other than the torque converter(which wont lock without a manual lockup switch under WOT) nothing locks or unlocks as far as I know.

Re: Dyno Testing

Thanks 12 second Sy for your quick reply.
Have you Dyno tested your truck? If so, what horsepower and torque readings are you getting at the wheels with your 12 second build?
What modifications have you done?

Never dynoed either truck. I sold my syclone but it was all stock except for the johnson IC pump and went 12.98(barely 12's I know) the one time I took it to the track with a 1.74 60'. Only thing I removed for weight was the spare tire and jack. Even had stock tires with 75,000 miles on them.
To hit that time I ported the exhaust side of the turbo and bellmouthed the inlet on it and on the upper IC. New plugs, wires, cap, rotor, distilled water with water wetter in IC, manual brake cylinders in the rear for a better launch, did a lot of top engine and injector cleanings, hotwired IC pump, smoother turbo to IC hose, etc. Theres plenty of info available on how to get 12's from a mostly stock syclone.
