Its up under the dash above the pasengers feet. Take down the black cover and there will be 1 screw that is holding up a metal triangle shaped bracket. Take that screw out and the computer will pull down.

may have to wiggle it to get it out. putting it back in, some people have problems, and remove the speaker/speaker grill on that side to aid in visually lining it back up.

i just fiddle with it till it goes in correctly.. never had any major difficulties.

Dmi,

From offhand:

1. Disconnect negative battery terminal
2. Remove the passenger side kick panel (4 screws)
3. Remove the little lamp under the dash on the passenger side
4. The ECM is hold by one hex head screw, unscrew it and you can drop your ECM. It could be tight, but it should come out

To put it back I usualy remove the speaker grill and the speaker. This way you can help to manouver it into the right place from above.

unless you get lots of messy passengers, you can just leave in on the floor :)
Not that it looks pretty, but it is a lot easier if you make constant chip changes...
Mine has been on the floor for over a year and no major issues yet
