Electric water pump.

Can anyone recommend a good electric water pump? I'm gonna be ditching all the stock brackets and running electric fans. Gonna do something like a belt running from the crank to the alt. My powersteering is gonna go too.
Thanks

Well...I think my only option is to run an adjustable alternator bracket and change the pulleys on the alt and crank to accept a V-belt. Unless they make a serpentine belt that small...I doubt it though. I think I made up my mind and am gonna go with the CSI pump. It has a removeable center section for swapping cams...which is good and plus most people are using them. Does anyone know which one I need? I'm pretty sure its the Small Block chevy, but I just wanna be sure.
thanks

Jordan.....FWIW, they do make serpentine belts pretty small. I carry some very small ones in my store. Pull a string when it's all done and maybe I can get you a PN. Would keep you from having to change to single groove pullies on crank and alt.

Awesome Mike.......when I get everything mounted up i'll give you a shout and let you know the size. Oh, with a serpentine belt, would I have to put a tensior pulley in there somewhere?
Thanks

If you are going to drive it on the street dont buy anything but a mesiere pump. The CSI's overheat too easily. As for the belt setup, they make just about anysize serpentine belt you can possibly think of. FOr the last customer truck we bought a 59.5", 60", 60.5", and a 61" 6 rib belt. We determined the proximity size by wrapping a clothing alteration style tape measure around the pulleys. FInd the one that fit the best and returned the others.

As for removing the assecory brackets it all depends what you want to use. If you are going to run poswersteering then keep the DS bracket. If no maybe a low mount March kit for the alt?

The idler pulley will have to be fabricated wherever you need it. Like I mentioned earlier, we can build that for you.

bare with me, its been a while since i have seen it, and this picture doesnt show as much as i wish it did, but i believe you can create a triangle just by using the stock tensioner with the alternator pulley, crank pulley, and AC replacement idler pulley. this truck has an electric water pump, and i know it has a serpentine belt, but i just cant find a better picture. sorry.
