what is the strongest block? i know the tanawanda block is stronger than the romanus one. what would be the # on the block? or a stronger block.

unless youre going with a bowtie block or some other crazy aftermarket setup, stock blocks are generally all the same.

Go find a PRE-1995 4.3L without balance shaft and you should be fine. (Z vin engine code)

Also, anything PRE-1992 should be without a balance shaft (reguardless of Z or W vin engine code)

does the bowtie need special piston's? i have 30 over srp's

you can use your pistons as long as the block is not bored more than 4.030
