Engine dipstick location

Hi-I am working on a 91 Sy that has a missing dipstick. I know it is on the drivers side but cannot seem to find the mounting point for it. Looked from the top and bottom. Does the exhaust manifold need to be removed to access it? Any help will be appreciated. Sorry about this basic question.

well now i guess that explains why i couldn't find it then. thought it was on the driver's. thanks roberto.
