erratic boost higher rpm

hi all
changed spark plugs and the V belt today , would not run right anymore from that point on.
i had some sort of overboost now.
found out the little rubber joints from the boostcontrol were cracked , changed those for reinforced rubber hose and now i do not have full boost anymore.
around 3500 rpm the boost is going up and down(shuddering) an little and by 4000 it stabilizes a bit , but not like it was before.
i lost also some power somewhere.
do i miss something here?

I would check/replace all other vacuum lines... if one was in that bad of shape they probably all are.

i did , all others are fine
only the little rubber connectors on the boostcontrol were dried out , they get the most heat.
i probably damaged the connectors while wrestling the V belt on
strange thing is before i changed the sparkplugs the truck was running perfect.
i put NGK U5 plugs in gapped at 0.028 , they were allready in there so i put the same one's in

okay , checked some thing and changed.
the truck runs perfect until i go above half throttle , the boost is erratic for a while en stays on 2/3 of the scale while accelerating where i had full scale before.
i know the original boost gauge is next to worthless but i can still use it to check wat the boost was and wat it is now.

okay i found the problem
the spark plug boots were baked on when i wanted to replace the plugs , so i probably damaged them while taking them of , did a temporary repair until i have new ones and the car is running perfect now.
also my car runs better when the sparkplugs are gapped at 0.035 instead of 0.027.
