excessive condensation...help?

Ive noticed since approx. february that the Ty has had a substantial build up of condensation in the oil filler tube. It has never done this in the past. I was figuring that maybe it was because of sitting all winter but the problem still hasnt gone away. A friend told me that I am constantly burning off moisture and a lot of it. Lots of moisture accumulates(sp?) in the oil filler tube, and God knows where else. :roll: Im not burning off any coolant. Its not fuel (btw the water doesnt taste too bad :rotf: ). Any ideas?? Thanks!

usually that happends when you go fro short drives in the colder time of the year. You get condensation in the oil and it doesn't really get burned up by getting the oil really hot. It should go away now that it's warmer, just change the oil.

Might be some blow-by. Are you sure you're not using coolant? Forgive the question but have you actually looked in the rad or just the header tank? What does the dipstick look like?

Possible intake gasket leaking.

I recently did an oil change and its still doing it. When I changed the oil it didnt appear to be diluted, dicolored, etc. Yes I have been keeping tabs on both the radiator and header tank. I never even thought about the intake gasket, ill have to take a look

I had a bad intake on the lower (valley) side and my motor didn't make any moisture. Not to say it wouldn't happen though. It's coming from someplace. Put a 190 thermostat in it and drive it at the limit for about 40 miles or so. Was the motor/engine compartment pressure washed? Little bit of water from anywhere is gonna look like a ton. Might be worth buying a rad pressure tester and seeing what happens.
