exhaust/boost question

If I retain the stock downpipe and install a 3"catco, 3" dynomax muffler, and 3" tail pipe, will I have any overboost problems on a stock motor?
As a newbee, I am not real familiar with the boost characteristics of these engines.

The stock wastegate setup is pretty crappy. It's just not big enough to let off enough pressure to keep the turbo spinning at the speed it should. When you open up the exhaust, there's less backpressure so the turbo spins up even more quickly. This means the wastegate needs to react more quickly. Since it's barely adequate (or maybe even flat out inadequate) for stock, you'll likely run into problems if you expect more out of it. A few people have had no problems, but most end up with overboost problems. Probably due to differences in the exhaust components that they put on or something...
