Exhaust Recommendations

I'm going to be having am exhaust system welded up for my truck here soon, and need some recommendations. It has ATR headers, but I can't decide what to do past that. Cat or no cat, muffler or no muffler. And if yes on a muffler, what kind. I thought about also going with am electric dump, but being that I'm having the underside of the truck painted, I don't want to be cleaning soot off of it after I use it. It won't be getting much track use anyways, even though it'll be a low 11 second truck, possibly mid 10s.

Suggestions? ??

Use a muffler.
Personally I do not like just a straight pipe exhaust sound. Too loud.

I used to laugh @ guys running open headers & run 14-15's in the 1/4. What a waste of time to uncork it & run those times, if you are going to be that loud, you better run some 10's (those guys w/open headers , N/A guys)

Back to you, I use a 3" straight through muffler, I was told it was a copy of those old Gibson mufflers.
It is round & approx 30 or so inches long.
I get many compliments, one thing though, mine is pretty quiet cruising & idle, but once opened up, it is really loud!, but it has a good tone to it IMO, unlike a straight through pipe set-up. But to each there own.

Need to keep it on the down low when driving on the streets, as not to attract the Po-PO,5 o, police

Yes, that is why I said this looks to be a copy, I never heard of the same manufacture making copies of there own products, but I guess it could happen.

I believe the Dynatech was the first design of this type, not sure though.

I have not researched the QTP muffler, but you heard they make good products?

Use dump with 12 inch pipe or turn down off of it and you will not have to clean your underside
Agree with everyone on straight through muffler.

My Borla sounds real good, low deep sound, and great flow. Sound deeper than most other trucks with 3" systems I have seen/heard. You could try one of those.

I ran a straight-thru Magnaflow 3" on my V6. It sounded nice. New setup is 4* exh and a dynomax ultraflo 20" long muff. Tried it without a muffler and too loud for the street.
