So my engine died, alot of metal shraping, and i don''t want to reuse my old oil-cooler.
I have seen that there is an GP- on griffin radiators with oil-cooler,
But lets save some money on this one.

So is annybody using an external oi-cooler? and if they do what kind, and what are the specifications like sizes, fans etc..

Thinking of a Perma-cool Maxi-cool PRM-13311

This is the last part i need to be sure of, and if i go for something like that, should i need an oil-tempature gauge?

IMO Setrab makes the best oil coolers around...

Another option is to get a cheap oil temp gauge and see how hot you run without a cooler. It's really not a big deal to run in the mod 200's with Mobil 1 but if you can get it to hit 300F it's time to get a cooler.

I used some little perma cool unit for the ty motor in my rustang, since the rustang radiator doesnt have provisions for an oil cooler. Its about 5"x7" and its a 4pass design. I got it from jegs and it costs like $30. So far so good. Of course it'd never hurt to goto a bigger cooler.

try the B&M super cooler. and run it between the grill and the air condioning condenser, definetly a nice piece and its not to pricey, think it is 48.00 bucks. hope that helps ya.

yup this is the exact cooler I use for eng and trans oil. awesome unit as it comes with 1/2npt threads and will cool off your eng oil too much in the winter but just perfect for the summer.
