Re: F.A.S.T. who can educate me? ---

Well I decided to get the FAST since I can probably resell it for what I paid for it....the code 59 thing really had me wondering what to do for a second.

Does anyone on here have tunes to share? I have a strange build so I doubt I will be able to use anyones. I am running a custom cam a bit larger than the 422 (McCoy Cam), rpm a/a with a vortec BOV, meth injection, McCoy ported l35's with large valves, pte63 turbo, atr headers and 3" downpipe with a 42mm progate wastegate, ect -let me know---

ps. I still need the 3 bar map since I will be boosting more than stock right? ---

Sorry, that was a big thing to miss, lol. 75# precision injectors :D ---

ps. Also running 1.6 roller rockers, h beams, srp pistons, nitrided stock crank, and a fan delete (electric fan), ported intakes, tb foil, edelbrock wp, 4" air intake, and a high volume oil pump. I just wanted to list it all, lol ... just in case *

that's one of the good things about code59...ALL of the tunes HAVE TO be shared.

I can send you mine. It's different than your build, but then again when I was given the cal it was for the same exact build as mine, yet it required a lot of changes.

It will get your truck started & running once you change the injector constant. Then the fun begins.

No problem. He is a wiz with the FAST systems. My brother just put a FAST XFI on his GN from Cal. Cal tuned the box before he sent it! He is a cool cat anyway.

So do I get rid of the 3 bar map when I start using the FAST or does it still need to be installed to boost over 15psi? ---

You will keep using the 3 bar map.

3 bar with the FAST system.... I'm more usto them on the GN's as most of the Hybrids I do end up with them as the system. It has all it's own live readout/dash setup and data logging. You won't need anything else but that. I pay ALOT of attention to O2 correction.

You enter all your information (injector size/engine size ect) into one section and you'd need a start up file from someone. Driving and interacting with the wideband and it's correction will help you get the fuel table dialed in quick. If your not sure where to put your AFR table you'll need to read up on that.
Timing is also another big learning curve.

I can normaly have a GN dialed in with fuel in 3passes with 2% correction or so through the pass +or-.

Then start sneaking up on timing before you get into knock. I shoot on GN's for 0 knock.
JS seems to say it's ok to see 5deg with the Sy/Ty's... he's got alot of exp. with them so he might better guide on the knock factor...

Since code 59 is out.... I can say I've been running it with great success. I'm very happy with the live wide band interaction with the stock ECM. And using Tuner Pro works great. Plug in one USB and fire up the program.. Your tuning... Sweet~
I see no real need to go aftermarket on the Typhoon with 59 being avalible. I would never have been able to do it with out help! It's not exactly a plug and play. There's ALOT of adjustments... I'd suggest to have someone who's been through it help or you may not have a pleasureable experience. I was lucky to have two excellent teachers! THANKS AGAIN.... You know who you are
I had to stay in the closet till 59 came out for real.
