Does anyone know if flex-o-form is still in business? I've got some delamination on one of mine and what appears to be stress cracks near the shock mount area. Makes me a little nervous. I would like to contact them to see what their thoughts are but can't find a number. I've been really happy with them; combined with traction bars I've always cut pretty consistent low 1.5x 60' times. Has anyone else seen this problem?

On a side note, what alternatives are out there that aren't fiberglass?

Duh. Flex-a-form.

Still wondering if anyone has seen delamination/stress cracks. These have been on the truck since around 2000 and have seen quite a few hard launches.

I've had this same issue with several high hp trucks in the past. always ran them with cal tracs and they werent an issue although I'm like you and always sent them back for repair or replacement anyway.

John - I was hoping someone with your experience would chime in. I think I will contact them and either replace it or have them repair that area.

I am actually a dealer in another realm (Tacoma X-runners) for flex-a-form and I am trying to understand what you mean by de-lamination, if you are talking about seeing the white color of the leafs through the paint then that is normal but as far as the stress cracks you need to make sure to get a hold of Mark and speak with him about those.

In terms of fiberglass, delamination is when the layers of fiberglass begin to separate from each other due to the resin bond being broken.

That's the way I uderstand it too and that is what is happening. Yes, there is both delamination and stress cracks. The delamination is occurring on the sides of the springs in the area of the shock mount which is also where it has stress cracks which are clearly visible.

Called flex-a-form (Mark) and was told that this was not uncommon and there is no way to fix them beyond cosmetic repairs.

So, I guess I'll either buy a new set or go a different route this winter.
