Flow Matched Injector Question...

Re: Flow Matched Injector Question...

I wouldn't say it is a matter of HP. Flow matched injectors are more for smooth running and consistent burn across all the injectors. That said I have had injectors rebuilt and flow matched on 2 different Land Cruisers. I don't know if it was just the rebuild, but both rigs ran much better afterward. When I feel the need to do this on the Ty, I'll have them flow matched. I use Witchhunter Performance, but there are others out there.

I am building what I would consider a solid street performing engine (aiming at 375hp+) and I am investing in flow matched injectors simply for smoother response and even fuel distribution. For the price difference between flow matched and not flow matched it just seems like a good investment.

IMO 50# injectors pretty much need to matched set because of the production variances between injectors.

I had some serious doubts about my injectors. I pulled them from a bi-turbo audi cranking out 500hp. I built my truck. When I found out I was able to use 60# injectors I yanked them.

My truck ran a little hard for being a fresh build. Smoking black, loading up on fuel...Was never able to really nail anything down to be the problem.

Recently I was on the forum and seen a member had some neat contraptions. I decided to shoot him a message and give him a heads up on what I was dealing with.

He tested out my injectors for me and determined one was a little laggy and not responding like the others.

The whole time I thought something could be wrong. I bought Noid lights and tested stuff out many times. Thinking there was a issue... Those tools would get me no where.

I had mine tested because I thought there was a stuck injector issue and sure enough one was not performing up to par.
