Is that heat shield really stopping anything?

I was gonna toss it and put a piece of heat reflective under the carpet.


Congrats on finding it though, KR is frustrating enough when its real, false knock is a PITA.

There is already heat relective material under the carpet from the factory, its about 1/4 fiberglass mat with reflective foil on one side

I ziptied it to the rear bracket.My KR is gone brotha!!

Sweet... Does this mean it is even faster than it was when I went for the ride in Pitt? I hope not b/c it already made mine feel like a pooch even with the false knock..

Hey thanks, I just pulled mine out a few minutes ago 8) Had no idea there was even a heat shield above the downpipe but mine was loose too. Gonna' hook DM up and see if it made any difference but I'm skeptical. If nothing else, at least I shaved another 2 or 3 lbs. off the truck :)
