GM already made a front and rear support out of Aluminum


The one pictured in the top is aluminum - weight 5lbs

So what did the aluminum one come out of. What I was referring to was the brackets that hold the bumper to the rear frame rails. I'm 99% sure those are metal, not aluminum.

The aluminum one was from a teal '92 Ty. Just one of the SyTy oddities I guess.

The frame to bumper brackets are steel, you are correct.
Hard ass steel at that.
I know after trying to straighten a set...

Who wants to see a pic of a sho when you could see a pic of a gn haha. I actually blew the motor on my sho about a yr ago. I'm looking at actually a 91 green plus with black interior so I can get back in the game. I miss her so my fun car is a gn now and bought a powerstroke to tow the gn to the track.
