GMPP Heads

Hey Guys,

I was browsing thru the GM PP website, where I got my Bowtie, and noticed they have 3 Head offerings 4 the 90° Chevy V-6, as follows :

10134359 - Cast 18° 9/1 Heads - for Shaft mounted Rockers, and

12480009 - Aluminum version of the same Heads, and

10134394 - Splayed Valve 45 cc Heads

Don't know what they cost, but wondered if anyone has considered them ? Probably won't bolt to our intake, so some mods R probably required ?

I believe all the heads are aluminum. They have the 23°, 18° and the splayed.

Ryan has a set of 18° heads on his Typhoon. Made 500rwhp at 10-12psi, not really tuned; 11.6@ 120 with the same combo in his HEAVY truck. I believe he has the 359 heads, that number sounds very familiar. Anyways, GM has never made a cast iron Bowtie V6 head (to my knowledge, and I have searched and asked about this). Mike Lee ran 23° *Pontiac* aluminum heads, and made similar power; probably more. I know of someone building a splayed valve head motor as well. Hoover used Brodix 23° heads. Guy Levey was using Brodix as well.

18° require custom exhaust manifolds/headers - Mike Lee sells them to fit

Splayed valve require custom intake & exhaust

23° - some intakes are out there to fit, different generations of head had raised runner etc. They are all angle plug heads, KB headers may or may not work. I believe some may fit the stock intake.
