it will be better but you shouldnt have cut so much off the side thats further upstream.
you have to remove a lot of material from the side closer to you and kind of make a scoop out of the far side. if you do that you can have solid control from the stock system and any exhaust.
there is actually very little removed from the upstream side. it was radiused about 1/4" no material removed otherwise. the inside turn is where i removed material, and made a big smooth radius. ~3/4" radius. it doesnt make sense to port the other side, since there is no flow from the wastgate into the turbo. i just did a small/slight radius mimicking what i saw on PTE's SY/TY exhaust housings. i suspose it reduces turbulance from the sharp square cut factory edge.
dont make me pull it back off and strap it to a flow bench. lol

Hey john. I was just wondering why it was cool for e to "port match" his exhaust housing and you had recommended that i should leave the one on the 74 alone and just make it a mirror finish? Does velosity not affect the smaller tubo's? Still trying to learn
i believe you will find that unless you are using the ATR headers, the exhaust opening on the PTE housing is already larger than the stock manifolds. if you are using ATR headers, you can do a "little" porting on the PTE housing, but be careful about making it too thin, there isnt a whole lot of material ther to start with. think about what you do before you do it!
