Hello, I am in the process of getting my 1992 Ty ready for a paint job. The previous owner had it painted all black at one time or another, and did not remove the cladding to do it. I have a question about the grill in this thing. Should it be the color of the cladding or the color of the body???? The cladding is going to be gunmetal grey to match my factory Z06 wheels, and the body is going to be deep cherry red (almost black at night). Any help or input would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!

I would go w/ the color of the body.

I painted around the headlights on our Ty the exact color of the cladding and the grill black. It was going to look goofy the lighter color. If your going for the OE look the grill should be black and around the headlights should be grey or as you said "cladding color" like on Jon's SoGt.
My Ty is in the middle Jon's SoGt is on the right....

Dave, '93 grills were painted black. '92 Ty's had grey paint in the headlight sections, like JK pointed out in the post directly above me. I'm sure you know what they did to the Syclone's better than me.dgoodhue said:
