grille lights eh?

got a small prob with the new phoon...

seems when the lights are on, i get the left side blinker light on SOMETIMES...

only, it just doesnt come on and go off...it fades in and out.... and more so going around corners or slinging the truck around on the highway...

it doesnt do it constantly, it just comes and goes...but always does it when the lights go on....

doesnt seem to affect the rear light, just the grille and bumper...


the fading in and out has got me... both sockets look fine, no corrosion or breaks as far as a i can see from whats exposed.

could this be a bad ground? and if it is, why would it affect only the left side front lights?


havent had the chance yet to look up where the ground for the lights are yet....

Check the wiring going down to the turn signal lights in the bumper. If these are ok, replace the 4 bulbs. I went through this for a little while, finally replaced them when I modded the grille to accept the electric fan. No problems since. The best I can figure is that the bulbs had some kind of internal problem. The ones that were in the grille itself(the little ones)ended up being the problem. Make sure they are for external use. Some bulbs look like the right ones but are meant for use inside the car.

When you lose one of the bulbs, the other will stay on. Same if you've got a bad connection. I had the exact same thing, on both the Sy and the S-10. Like Blake said, replace all four bulbs and check the wiring around the bulbs.

I remember Will having hella ground problems with the corner markers and bumpers.
Thought it turned out to be ground related, but I know he dug pretty far into it.
he can surely explain the front lighting grounds and where his own problem was found....

well, heres the thing...

i changed the grille bulbs when i swapped out to clears, i have yet to do the bumper lights....

however, all the lights work fine...

once i get home, i'll finish the clear swap and see how it goes with new bulbs all around....
