Heater/AC Controls Piece on Dashboard

How do you get this piece off? My fan speed control lost it's detente feel to it a while back but it still worked. Well, this morning it quit working entirely. I have no fan and need it badly. How do I get the piece off to fix this?

Two screws at the bottom, then a couple of wire harness clips and the cable for hot/cold takes a small screwdriver the get the red clip out. But it might be a relay under the hood. Check the part at the right top corner of the heatercore cover, one of the wire loops may be fried and that either needs replaced or the rectangler silver fuse above the blower motor. My Ty and '92 sonoma both done this and your right it sucks.

Well - I haven't got a chance to take this dash piece off yet, but I did manage to get mad enuff at it to punch the right side of the dash on my way home from work today and the fan miraculously started right up!!! Well, at least I know that it's a bad connection at the fan switch and not some other problem. I stupidly tried to adjust the fan speed using the switch shortly after I got it working again and it quit again. Figures....I know what I'll be doing this weekend.....I'll get the switch at the local wrecking yard.
