Heater core blew

Well my heater core blew, liquid all over the passenger side floor. I purchased a heater core at pep boys but don't know if it is the correct one seeing as that I have not seen the factory heater core. I know some people here have purchased a replacement at pep boys. Anyone have a pic or model number. Also was wondering if it is ok to start and drive for about 15 miles. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can bypass the heater core completely. Hook the out (going to the firewall) to the in(coming from the wall). Use a tube and a couple clamps. If you're lucky your hose might even be close or long enough to be used as a bypass. If nothing else you can get a cooling system flush kit that will have nessary tubes and stuff.

The core looks like this: The two pipes come out from the side at the top together and turn at about a 45 degree angle. If they try to give you one in a flat box, it's not the right one (I know). Email me if you need more info (I've changed it twice).

Thanks for your help. Am I able to drive very cautiously 15 miles with it blown or am I dancing with the devil driving it in it's current condition. Thanks again Can't wait to meet some of you cats at Nationals!

you can drive but you'll get coolant all up in your interior.
if you have visegrips lock them onto the hose that goes to the intake manifold or if possible bypass the core completely. higher rpms will make matters worse so drive easy.
