I need some help. I have a friend who is a student at The University of Dayton and his transmission just went out in his Avalanche. Do you guys know of any reputable shops in the area? Thanks!

if he takes it to MVCTC in clayton, oh off hoke road, they will do it for the cost of parts, (if its still run the same way). i went to school there years ago. the only draw back is it may take a bit, pm me for more info. i wanna say sinclair community collage does it too. he could prolly get a used 4l60e from a&b auto salvage in trotwood pretty cheap, i payed $300 for a engine, tranny,harness,& ecu in 2008 for a emergency drive train swap in my dime. as far as "shops" i could call some of my buddies tomarrow that live around that area to ask and get back to you, i went in the navy back in 2004 and been stuck in sh*tty california ever sense.
