Okay, let me start by apologizing to a few people:
- The 24 people who sent me a PM.....I'm sorry, will respond ASAP.
- Dobrick and Duncan.......I really apologize for not keeping in touch.
- The rest of the board and potential customers......really sorry, I won't let a hiatus like this happen again.
Explanation: Life. Simple enough....but true. Lot's of things have happened over the last 6 weeks and I honestly just haven't had the time to log on. For one, my computer company has really boomed in 2009 and it has taken much more of my time than usual (this is a good problem). Secondly, we're mired in the closure of Tucker Auto Parts and, it too, has taken much more time than usual.
Bad News: As mentioned above....we're closing Tucker Auto Parts. The decision was based on the overwhelming requirements of a retail "parts store" in this current economy. Our area has been hit hard and stocking nearly half a million dollars worth of parts just wasn't feasible. So, we looked at our sales and noticed that the performance parts side of things accounted for 40% of sales and only 8% of inventory volume (due to our close proximity to our performance warehouse and next day delivery on their entire inventory - so we don't stock a lot). So, we decided to close the replacement parts side of the business and reopen as.....
Good News: Hood Tuned Performance. This will be our primary outlet for parts now. We'll be handling our supplier's entire line of performance parts (the majority of which we can undercut Summit/Jegs pricing substantially), and will make all of this available to the SyTy community at prices lower than our retail pricing. Shipping will continue to be cheap and hopefully we'll be able to provide the items you need.
So, that's the skinny. Hood Tuned Performance (HTP) has been a part of our company profile (and my corporation) for over 8 years now, but it was concentrated on the supply of performance parts strictly to shops and other retailers. The decision to supply the public was made easier with the dissolution of Tucker Auto Parts. The phone number will continue to be the same (1.877.858.2447) and you may even hear us answer the phone as Tucker Auto Parts for the next few months, but just ask for me and I'll be glad to help you. If I'm not around (I have to devote the majority of my time to my computer company), then e-mail me, leave me a message, or see if Joseph (my cousin and business partner) can help you.
So, apologies to all, but the recent 6 week break from SyTy.net will hopefully be beneficial to everyone.
