I just wanted to post this up here that me and my local S-series club H.A.S.T.E. club will be having a test and tune session at the local 1/8 mile drag strip, Houston Motorsports Park on friday may 12th. The gates open at 5pm and the lanes open at 6pm and they run till midnight or so. Its 10 bucks to get in and watch, another 10 if you want to race and ladies get in free all night.
I was out there last friday night and made my best pass so far since i bought the Ty last december and my times are in my sig.
I have a freind with an 89 blazer with an n/a 4.3 TBI motor that is pretty mean, and awhile back he beat my Ty at the track the first time i had the Ty on the track i could only muster a 9.56 and he ran a 9.32, but as youo can see im much better now and he is tuning his thining maybe he can take me again, but i dont see it happending, so we kinda got a grudge match going and it should be fun.
There is supposed to be some other S-10's from the club out there and running, and we want to extend the invite to any and all local SyTy's that want to come out and either hang out with us and watch or if you want to race, the more the better.
My Ty was the talk of the track on friday, as it doesnt have the cladding installed and with no burnout everyone just thought it was another POS till i launched that sucker and silenced all. Beat every beater i raced except my last race against a LS1 camaro SS 6 speed car and i pulled hard on him out of the hole, but he drove around me the last few feet. Oh well.
Anyways i hope to see more SyTy's at the track on the 12th. Heres the addy to the tracks website that has really good directions from all sides of town.
