How To Repair My Typhoon Front Seats???

The plastic hose that goes to the lumbar support in my front seats are falling apart. More like disintegrating. The rubber squeeze bulb still works. I need to replace both of them all of the way back to the batter in the seat.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what is the best material to use?

I could get by without the lumbar support but it would be nice for everything to work.

had to do this on my truck a while ago. i just used vacuum hose from autozone. it's probably easiest to pull the seats out. here's what i did:

pull the seat
disassemble the top half from the lower half
undo the zipper on the lower half (at the back of the seat, not the front of your pants).

inside the seat there is a gray looking pouch that contains the lumbar support. you can usually follow the old hose all the way up to figure out where the attachment point is.

remove the old hose

attach the new hose.

the other big pain in the butt is getting the hose through the slits in the side of the seat. i had to use a coat hanger to slide the new hose through to come out the front.
