HVAC question (want to set to fixed position)

Ok, I found that my HVAC controls had a crack where the vacuum line header plugs in and couldn't get the controls to work, so I just disconnected and capped off the line into the cabin.

What I would like to do is just fix the position to blow out the front vents (I'm in AZ, so the need is more for cooling than defrosting.

Does anyone have any idea or diagrams about the HVAC setup? Is there some lever that I am able to put into a fixed position?

I did a search and couldn't find anything.

Thanks,

Re: HVAC question (want to set to fixed position)

i had to do this the other day to the typhoon . vacuum actuator for vent ,floor, defrost broke . i mean it broke off from hvac box . so for temp fix i zip tied it open to vent . heres how you do it . bang head on steering column . create a few new words to call your truck then . take down cover under steering column . the pod pointing straight up is the one you need to take off(the nuts holding it looked to be hard to get at ) . the rod extending from pod just unhooks wiggle it aound it'll fall off . now reach you hand up there and pull down that arm that the pod was hooked to (you can't see it with your hand in there) . i took a 12inch zip tie put through hole in arm and zipped it down on corner of hvac box.working great for 4 days now . hope this helps
