I need some help here No BOOST??

I have had this truck for 3 years. It's mostly stock A.T.R. intercooler pump and chip. Motor is rebuilt. Anyways my truck won't boost it some time goes to 10 or so I remember it going to the top of the stock gauge, Not anymore. Also when on the highway I punch it and it goes to about 95 then shuts down I need to let of the gas and take it up slow to the floor or it just wants to blow up? Not that it matters but what the hell my motor mount is brok so the intake tube that goes from the turbo to the filter is all broke, And there's a piece that bolts on to the turbo with a few small hoses and a few 2 wires I beleave that has been rubbing up against my A.C. Could you tell me what is this? So to ramble I love this truck and nobody here in mass Knows shit about it...... :tup:

Should I be taking offense when you say nobody here in MA knows shit about these trucks? Last I checked Dave Goodhue and I live in MA.

Have you changed anything on the truck recently or have you been having this no boost problem since you bought the truck?

i have not had alot of experiance with the syty turbo system but i do work ALOT with cummins and duramax day in and day out and to me what is sounds like is that your turbo is spining but some where in the intake charge tubing there is a hole or maybe a loose clamp

Your boost solenoid attatches to the turbo. Check out the vacuum lines connected to it.

or check out the boost solenoid itself. I had the same problem with boost and the solenoid was bad. Replaced it for about 24 bucks and she boosts well now.

Hey thank you all I will start with the boost solenoid. And the guy from mass No disrespect but it's hard as hell to find someone who knows what up with these. I had the engine rebuilt and it was boosting just when it want I am lost I rebuilt the turbo as well. Thank you, I will check your site out I have many things I want to do.

I will start with the boost solenoid.

While you are at it, go ahead and replace all of your vacuum lines, especially if you still have the stock hard lines.
