My ac doesnt blow all the way. Its charged just fine and everything, I think its something in the heat/cold flipper or something else.

All I know is it blows half of what it should on high. And being that is does that doesnt blow cold at all. I need some info on what to look for and how to fix it if anyone can help me. ;)

I had a friend at a shop look at it today and said everything under the hood is working 100%. So before you say it, dont. Its something in the dash. :)

Thanks.

Does it always blow on the floor and defrost? If so their is a leak in the vacuum line going to the engine.

No, I had that problem. But I replaced that slector valve, and it fixed it. Its just now blowing its full potential. Maybe one of the vac lines is not pushed in all the way.

I can smell exhaust inside the cab if I'm not moving. (dont know if that will help at all.) Its only when the ac's on, and the truck is not moving. I start to move it goes away.

I'm going to dig into it over the weekend for a little bit. I'll have nothing to do while it rains maybe I can get lucky and find out what the problem is by taking some stuff apart and putting it back together. Who knows. All I know is with still another 2 months of summer in florida, I'm going to want it to be 100% again. It was fine driving back from IN. with it. I think its just after that valve went this started.

I've got the factory repair manuals and sytysgt supplements @ the house. However, I'm in Alaska for the next couple of days. PM me Sunday or Monday and I'll try to help.

:dunno:

How would I test it? If only we didnt have this storm I could see what other guys trucks ac blows like.

Would the blower motor be causing the exhaust smell inside the cab though? I know when that selector valve went out I smelled the same thing. Maybe its not pushing the "max ac" vavle all the way. Either way, I'll dig into it tomorrow and see if I can not knowinly fix it

Re: I need the A/C controls schematic please.

Update. Night before last I went searching for the problem.

While I was taking off the controls I had a thought that maybe my fan speed switch moved to another position while I was messing around with it and I put it together on a higher setting. (which would make the fastest or the hardest blowing setting like half what it really is.) Put it on the lowest setting, pluged it back in, started the truck and it worked perfect like it should. I had no vac leaks or anything, just that simple mistake on my part when putting it back together.

If you've taken the controls off and moved the fan speed to a higher notch (or lower) when you take it off and put it together wrong it wont blow right. So maybe thats your problem as well Syclone#2960 :dunno:

Hard to tell cause it comes off and on on the highest setting.
