I just talked to Hood. He is out of the Victor's and apparently the factory has them on back order. He suggested Napa, Jegs, or Summit. None of them carry these gaskets anymore.
With me needing to get this back together somewhat soon, I may be stuck with Fel Pro, cometics or possible Titan copper gaskets.. From what I have been reading, cometics might be a wiser choice between the three.
Opinions?

Sure. I'm going to a place near me that deals in Victors to see if they can hook me up with the head set. I'd really like to get the head set if at all possible. I have no idea where I would get the upper to lower intake gasket. If they can't come through, I'd be interested.syclone0209 said:

hood should be able to hook u up with the individual intake gaskets, if not try rpm.

Well, against my better judgement, I took your advice Tooky. I have a set of L35 heads being assembled for me. The cylinder head shop called them 181's. I was researching these and found 181 mentioned as one of the casting numbers for an L35 head.
This is correct, yes? They have the hump at the top of the intake port like I was reading about. And these are a direct bolt on, yes? Or is there something else I am going to have to do with this?

I don't think you'll regret it down the road. The hump at the top of intake port is a great sign. As long as your machine shop takes care of the valvetrain it should be a 100% bolt on. I mean the head gaskets and intake gaskets should all be the same. The main difference with the L35 is their intake ports are straight like a normal head instead of the goofy stock swirl ports.

Update: The truck is all back together and runs great. I also siezed upon the fact that just about everything was out of the engine bay....I installed the ZQ8 steering box, a new idler arm, a new pitman arm, and the HD steering shaft I had for it. HUGE difference there!
After all of this I am no where near as intimidated about having to work on this thing as I was when I first got it. But this is probably a bad thing. Haaaa.
