what are some options for intercooler pumps, besides a jabsco, are there any that arent 100 plus dollars?
What is the part numbers for them if you have them?
I feel like such a noob i havent worked on a stocker in a while.
hey adam... one thing to look out for... i remember reading something a while back that you may not want something that flows too much, as it will cycle the fluid too fast and not give it a chance to cool down as much. just a thought.
see there ya go i was wondering what were, if any, the oppisite effects of that, good shite, Plus people are going to use this post as a refrence, as it comes up 1st under IC Pump, anyways that is awesome info, and something to look into, out for..
Adam Ive got a used Jabsco sitting around from when I changed over to the RPM air to air set up. It has maybe 4 thousand miles on it. If you pay the shipping you can have it.
I temporarily ran the stock pump with an atr aux and the temps were in the 80's. I ran the same setup with a bigger pump(shurflo) and the temps were the same. Just some info...
I recently built a new IC system with the Johnsson pump. It's for sure a state of art pump. But it costs alot too.
Regarding the flowrate it's all up to which diameter thats used in the IC heat exchanger on the warm side. For maximum cooling by the heatexchanger the velocity in the tubes in the heatexchanger shall not be that high that you get laminar flow in the tubes (reynolds number).
