Tomorrow i am going to help my buddy change his idler arm and outer tie rod end (passenger side). I was curious to know how hard this is to do and about how long each would take. Is there any special tools we will need? I already looked up how to do the idler arm on sytyarchives, just looking for more info.

12pack no make that a case of your fav beverage.

Mine was stuck in the centerlink and had a hard time even with a puller
Had to pull the whole linkage out and screw the nut on and use a big freaking hammer to get the idler arm out.

yeah I just did mine and I preferred the pickle fork over the goofy tie rod end puller.
There just isnt enough room in there.
Leave the nut on the last few threads so shit doesn't go flying when you TAP it, so don't use a 5# sledge.

Also did your Idler arm come with instructions as to the parallelism alignment after install?

Nope But I sometimes know how to use the search function an I found where you posted that before  Maybe it should be on the FaQ or how-to section on Syty Archives.

BTW that method was kinda awkward on our setup.
