I've always heard 42lbs with vac line disconnected. Or you can energize the pump at the test terminal and set it that way without having to remove the vac line or lean over a running engine.

edit: I believe it should be 35-38lbs with vac line connected and truck running. Trying to find previous posts to back that up, but I'm not really having any luck.

Right... At idle with line connected and roughly 20lbs of vacumuum the FP should be in the low to mid 30's if the stock base FP is around 42lbs...

Vacuum is 2 to 1, boost is 1 to 1 ratio for FP

Re: idling problem.../new to here

alright... well today we threw a new o2 sensor on there... new fuel pressure regulator.. and still... surging... not as bad but still from 1000rpms to 600... and sometimes below 500... when its warmed up it seems to be good

we put some seafoam thru the tank and a vacuum line... to clean it out!?!??.. just bangin my head over here on this

i still gonna throw a new fuel filter on there, check for more vac leaks and try to see if the lines are clogged...
also put a new idler pulley on there cuz we thought thats what was squealing but it wasnt. We still dont know whats squealing.. arg!!!!! frustrations!!

edit

ok ok... nvermind... i drove it for a bit.. and not a single surge yet..... im hopin for the best
