I would love to give the entire story on my truck but it would be just to much typing. I did talk to Harry Anderson last night and explained the minor problems I'm having.
My truck came from Redshift Motorsports on Sunday. Chris tuned it, was able to get 21psi on a TE45A turbo with the alky/water injection. Timing was set around 19-20 deg. advanced. In the future I need a better intercooler. It is not stock, but I guess a upgraded water/air. Anyways, it is not getting any knock and very safe at 10.5-10.6 air/fuel ratio.
So, I had to turn the boost back down to 15-16psi and take away some timing just to be safe because of a current problem. It seems most likly a spark problem. I'm just going to go ahead and replace each item until I find the problem. So...
Starting with plugs, I hear I should run NGK 6s. Can anyone give me a part number or best place I could get these plugs. I have brodix heads and will run 20-22psi of boost once the problem is gone.
Spark Plug Wires, I seen the custom ones from RPM. Anyone else know of good ones?
What cap and rotor? RPM sells a performance set.
If I have to, distributor? MSD stuff? Someone make some post and inform me. Anyone who can shed light on what exactly to do, with part numbers would be great. I currently have a F.A.S.T computer system in which was used to tune it. Thanks guys!
