injector fitment

Bought some FAST injectors awhile back and am finally getting around to installing them. When I removed the stock injector I noticed the FAST units are 1/2" shorter. Will this cause a problem with securing the rail? Thanks.

Re: injector fitment

Did some research and I believe they are 57lb LS2 style injectors. I was lookin and wonder if I can drill new bolt holes in the rail flange for the securement bolts.

Re: injector fitment

i bet they are EV6 injectors. EV6 injectors are shorter than EV1's. You can buy spacers for them. Also the plugs are different. So an easy check would be to see if the plugs still work.

Just my 2cents

Yes, ev6's but came with the adapter pigtail plugs. Part #30572-6, 57# high impedence.

Re: injector fitment

I've never heard of spacers or lowering the rail so just wondering... A) Wouldn't you want to put the spacer on the inlet? Seems to me with them as shown the spray pattern would be "destroyed." B) I think lowering the rail will make the return line from the FPR a tight fit. Also where the rail crosses over at the rear might hit and lastly the brackets are at an angle. So all-in-all I doubt you could lower the rail. Wouldn't want to bet against it though...:rotf:
