Cascading Inspiration
Installed my Innovative gate, and had an issue with it hitting the lower heat exchanger. I had dual spals on the back, so I removed the drivers side. Welp, It still wouldnt even bolt in. So I dropped everything again, and adjusted the crossover to place the gate as high as possible, without hitting the crank pully. Still wouldnt bolt up.
I placed large diameter bolts left over from a drop block set between the ic mounts and the frame, and everything fit up fine. Or so I thought.
I guess with engine movement, the gate continually smashed into the core, eventually causing enough damage to render the the core unrepairable (according to a local shop).
Now Im on the search for a replacement.
This may or may not be affect every innovative install, as we installed the same set up on another truck with absolutely no fitment issues.
