Instant throttle response problems

Guys. Anyone have problems getting instant throttle response, regarding boost? I find that sometimes when I mash down on the accelerator that the turbo won't spool up. Is there some adjustment that I can make?

That usually has something to do with what mph, and rpm you're at. There's not much you can do.

You can open up the exhaust, but may end up with an overboost problem. A higher stall converter would help. There are some tables in the chip that also make a big difference.

High stall convertor?

High stall convertor?

I do have a stall convertor, not sure as to what it is, 2800? I emailed the previous owner for info. So, kinda stuck with that, huh?

Oh well.... thought someone had a way to get quicker response.

thanks!

Do you have any DataMaster logs you could post to get a better idea of what's going on ?

if the upper intake or throttle body have been off any time lately, then it it possible the gaskets are not fully sealed and your loosing air through them. i think something isn't right, as you have a upgrade TC with the stock turbo...it should be instantanously (sp?) in my opinion.

two things, one already asked--

do you have datamaster?

second, do you have an after market boost gauge so you can tell us how much boost you are getting?

you can adjust the WG, but if you have other problems this won't fix anything.

Trying to resolve issue..

Trying to resolve issue..

It's been awhile since I replaced the cap & rotor, so, doing that and making SURE I've got the right plugs, changing those, a new coil and gas filter. No Datamaster, will look into the WG adjustment.

get that ignition replaced ASAP as well, having the wrong plugs or just a worn out ignition will really make it run like a turd.
