Internal waste gate

Motor is out and at the machine shop and looking at the turbo I notice the waste gate is welded shut. Very nice mod with no external waste gate. Got a feeling this got more expensive.

Are you sure they aren't looking at the waste gate access hole in the exhaust housing?

Yeah. The puck is welded shut. I think this had an external on it at one time and someone removed and no one checked the stock one
