Johnson pump HELP

So I bought a Johnson pump on eBay. My Bosch was crapping out as it turned on when ever it felt like it. I put the new one on and it wasn't running. The Bosch was running right before I removed it so I know there's power. Did a test light to make sure. Hot wired the pump to a 12v tester and nothing. Is there some kind of temp sensor inside the pump or something that may keep it from turning on ? I then put the old one on for testing and it runs. I'm at a lost with a dismantled IC system. Any help is greatly appreciated. Has anyone ever encountered this? Looked at past forum post but nothing I could fine that answered my question.:D

Re: Johnson pump HELP

I went threw two new off the self ones before I got one that worked but figured it was my bad luck lol. for some reason I do remember something about the Johnson pump being wired backwards from normal but don't quote me. iam sure someone else will chime in to confirm or not.

Re: Johnson pump HELP

:tup:Thx guys..I apreciate the feedback. Yeah I think I might be out of luck on this one. The connection is correct, and there's definately power going to it. I think it might just be a faulty pump which sucks big time! Looks like I'm at a loss and gotta go get another. I connected the old one again just for kicks and it turns on.

Re: Johnson pump HELP

So I decided to go with the Bosch (0392022002) which is used in supercharged engines. The pump is about double the size of what I had on the Ty. We'll see how this one works:lol:
