Jumped time??

I am leaning towards the timing chain jumped a tooth or so. After I get all the other little stuff fixed the ty still won't start. It has fuel and fuel presure, it has spark and it has air. When I crank it, it tries to start, maybe run for a second and die. I pull one of the plugs out to see if they are fouled, it is not. I turn the truck over it starts, sounds like it's running decent considering it has a empty hole. I put the plug back in, it won't start. I pull the plug back out it starts. I try it with the plug in the hole withoug the wire hooked up, still won't start. So, I change the plugs still nothing, I pull out another plug and it does the samething. I am thinking the chain jumped a tooth... Truck has about 12XXXX on it. Any help? I have not had a chance to check the timing yet.

Sounds like may have plugged ext. if you can get O2 sensor out see if it will run then with all the spark plugs in.

Several others mentioned having the distributor put in wrong or something, which leads to all the posts being one cylinder off. Is this a possibility?

I know it's not the exhasust clogged, because it's straight through.

I have not recently had the distrubtor out in a very long time.

I am going to put the timing light on it tomorrow.
