Yeah, going as rich as 10.0 is pretty rich & probably is clearing itself out before it starts to run better.

If you put a stiffer wastegate actuator, you are going to feel a difference. But, you should also, use an electronic boost controller, which also helps it spool faster. It can be adjusted so the wastegate stays closed until the last possible moment (to what boost level you selected). IFAIK, the factory computer cannot do these types of adjustments as an aftermarket EBC can do. Just something to think about if you are interested.

When running a boost controller do you still need to run the factory boost solenoid ?

No, the EBC usually has one when you purchase it.

I have bench-tested my old Profec I EBC with a spare stock solenoid. It works on the bench.
