not sure on KB's, but the ATR's you have you notch the flange. just as you have to notch the SCE gasket as it appears SCE copied the ATR flange when making their gasket.
Yes they do. I had to pull both upper plugs, re-seal and sink them in further to clear the header flanges. On the driver side lower is where I placed the temp sensor.
