keyless entry FOB

So from what I have read, it looks like all Typhoons came with keyless entry?? all I got with my Ty was one ignition switch key and one door key.... Is the keyless system on these normally fairly solid? is it a good bet that it would probably work if I could locate a FOB for it? or is it most likely that the keyless receiver went bad and fob was discarded?? any idea where to source a fob to try?

Test the system to see if it is functional. If it is, then pursue finding remotes.
At the ALDL test connector under the LH dash, jumper the top-right cavity to the bottom left (I think, it is a purple wire, look at the wire color for the bottom left. It could be the third from left. Check the wire color.) After a couple of seconds the locks should cycle and the rear hatch pop. If = yes, the system is functional. When you get new fobs, this is also how you program them to the truck. Let the locks cycle, push the LOCK button, the locks cycle, remove jumper. The fob is programed.
